An hydrogel is a polymer material which can absord water. It has a liquid form that can turn to solid. This solidification can be a gelification : this state change is reversible and is due to physical condition such as temperature cooling. The solidification can also be done by irreversible polymerization of the monomers or polymers. there are artificial or natural hydrogels.
